Consultancy – Fixed Assets Verification in TFCDF

TFCDF Introduction

T- Field Child Development Federation (TFCDF) is a non-governmental organization based in Nuwara Eliya and Matale districts in Sri Lanka and it has been working with communities with the mission of Empowering children and youth to improve their life standards and providing opportunities to become leaders who bring positive changes in their communities.  Currently, we are implementing our projects covering 05 districts that are Nuwara Eliya, Monaragala, Badulla, Matale, and Kandy. TFCDF started in 2005 to cater to the needs of the communities in tea plantation areas and has been working towards the development of tea plantation communities since then we also started to work with the marginalized village communities in 2020. TFCDF has been contributing to both humanitarian and development needs in our communities and has a strong engagement with government stakeholders, civil society organizations, and the private sector. TFCDF’s main and long-term program is funded by ChildFund Sri Lanka through which we ensure that children and youth have access to opportunities to reach their full potential in all stages of their lives. TFCDF implements early childhood development, education, and youth development interventions. As a main part of our youth program, we also implement youth-led Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programs.

Objectives of the Assignment

1. To Verify the fixed assets list from 2013 to 2023 (10 years) across 11 zone offices and the main office in Nuwara Eliya. To Prepare a discard list with depreciation details. Compile inventory lists for comprehensive asset management. And Review the Fixed Asset policy and provide recommendations for improvement.

Overall responsibility of the consultant.

Develop a detailed plan and engage with team members to find necessary details. Deliver expected outcomes of high quality within the agreed timeline. Commit to signing a Child Protection Policy to ensure no harm occurs during the intervention. Create a numbering system for fixed asset items.

Deliverables

• Comprehensive plan, Verification report, Inventory lists, Fixed asset list, Discard list, and Recommendations
• Consultancy fee and other conditions  

The consultancy fee covers a two-week period, with payment in two stages. The first installment is released at the beginning, and the remaining amount is paid upon task completion.

Qualifications and experience

• Individual consultants or companies with relevant education qualifications and a minimum of 5 years of experience are eligible. Women are strongly encouraged to apply. Excellent report writing in English. Skills in IT and language. Age below 49 years
