Current economic crisis has brought many negative impacts to children’s mental and emotional wellbeing. To motivate children to put aside the worries at home and enjoy their childhood we have created Child Friendly spaces in our communities with the financial and technical assistance of ChildFund Sri Lanka. Child Friendly Spaces intend to provide children with a protective environment where they can enjoy educational and recreational activities. The spaces also promote children’s overall wellbeing in the midst of an economic crisis. Our first Child Friendly Space was handed over to children in Radella estate of Thalawakelle Plantation.
