Youth in tea plantation communities lack adequate access to vocational trainings. Addressing the said issue, T-Field Child Development Federation in collaboration with National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) , with the funding of ChildFund Sri Lanka, established basic training center in Somerset estate. This center, at the first stage, will provide basic training on hotel management and hospitality for 20 youth in tea plantation communities. We believe that the center will open many paths for youth to pursue their career in hospitality sector.
